here it is! some brand-new wax for your listening pleasure! the days are becoming longer, summer is just around the corner, and our latest release appears to perfectly embody the spirit of something new, something fresh, and something exciting. indeed, we�ve combined all this into a single 12� featuring the likes of satl & electrosoul system, and invadhertz. the release is all about good mood and chilled vibes, and virtually anything you can tag with the liquid label (if you really need to). but categories aside, our new twelve incher comes with a superb collab between satl & electrosoul system on one side, and with a solid track by the upcoming collective of invadhertz on the flipside. the former, entitled �satless�, is a warm, vocal-infused gentle roller that seems to be best enjoyed in the sunny days to come, while the latter, named �lily�, offers a nice combination of a bit rougher percussion section and booming bassline enriched with even more of vocal inserts. all in all, the whole single is a tasty treat for all those into the lighter side of drum & bass.

bss records returns with the second in a series of va compilations entitled percussive parameters . after successfully launching the series last year, showcasing both emerging and established artists and topping juno s vinyl chart, this one s set to cause a stir. first up is troy gunner, an artist with a wealth of experience and a diverse arsenal of club focused records to his name. �pleading shows troy s deeper, more melodic side with atmospheric pads and vocals layered around an intelligent, driven percussive array. as the track progresses, a hypnotic and compelling synth is introduced that draws the listener further in, cementing troy s intuitive abilities in the studio. next up are head honchos silas & snare, who deliver a certified club weapon. memories starts unassuming, mesmerizing and innocuous, before launching the listener into a rolling, dubbed out cut destined to open and close sets across the world s sound systems. on the flip, we bring two exciting and emerging uk producers, agrippa and yak, both delivering their debut 12- offerings. kicking things off is ziplash , a drum workout that demonstrates agrippa s ability to manipulate percussion and sub to the highest caliber, with thunderous claps and kicks weaved over intricate beats and samples. finally, and as the name suggests, showdown is a menacing cut of club weight destined for low ceilings and late nights, with a relentless sub and inimitable groove throughout! as ever, we d like to say a massive thank you to everyone supporting our music, ideas and artists.

on thanksgiving 1989, kmart employee and audio enthusiast mark davis wandered behind the customer service desk to check out the store�s sound system, which looped muzak and top 40 plus ads and announcements under the banner of �kmrt, the kmart radio network.� when he found last month�s tape hadn�t been thrown out yet, he pocketed it and made a habit of doing this, collecting 56 tapes from 1989-1992. in september 2015, davis uploaded the tapes to archive.org with the humble intention of preserving them. but within a few weeks he became an internet celebrity among obscure media fans and supplemented the collection with reel-to-reel tapes from the 70s and 80s thanks to tom schwarzrock, who acquired them serendipitously along with a deck he purchased. the tapes are like a consumerist time capsule, a vaporwave trove of eerily familiar corporate ephemera extracted from its original context and purpose. similarly, attention kmart choppers is composed of pieces from this collection chopped up, resculpted, and mosaicked together by juicy the emissary, forming a new, distinctly contemporary sound while inheriting a haunting nostalgia that provokes memories burrowed deep in the subconscious

the swell ep follows a similar formula to release number five back in march. three originals and two tool tracks all from label boss mike gervais. many cut from the same cloth as release five. all good things we think.elegant restraint leaves the element stack slim and the sonic field open. backed by a thumping kick and sputtering resonant basslines while familiar machine hats shimmer in and out.

having made himself an indispensable member of the uk soul/funk scene, playing live performances of �zoology� to much acclaim, as well as setting up a regular groove night at london�s 606 jazz club, carl has recently finished work on his second album - pixel planet, which tells the story of an alien spacecraft, exploring our solar system, 30.000 years into the future - looking for the last bastion of human activity long after we have departed. this dystopian tale is told using a huge array of cosmic electronics, many of which were soldered together by carl himself, including his own diy synthesiser - the recyclotron 64 - constructed out of commodore 64 chips and built in an mdf box, and providing some of the monster bass lines on this album. as well as calling in the digisoul gang, some new friends appear on this album, including powerhouse drummers pete ray biggin, and �jungle� jimmy norden.

the a-side is perfectly suitable for peaktime club use � merging unconventional synthesizer sounds and proper kicks with dark and crisp vocals.

having lurked around murky corners of the grubby industrial techno realm for the past year or so, pavel milyakov builds on his rapidly swelling discography with this transmission for public system. it s the second release on the label following a strong opening salvo from dj spider and greypeople, and this 12- offers up further forthright club-wreckers that balance taut functionality with production flair. opening cut -strainn- delivers bludgeoning electro from the netherworld, which ekman then dutifully reworks with an added eerie tension. there are edgy arpeggios aplenty on -trance t- and warmer tones in -augusts 13-, rounding out an essential slab of serious techno tackle.

after releasing one of lobster theremin�s biggest eps in the shape of �rules�, we�re please to finally see panthera krause back in the lobster den with a trippy, head-spinning white label of lucid house and acid.
